You will often see suggested wedding-budget percentages telling you exactly how much should go towards flowers, photography, entertainment and everything else. They can be useful as a starting point, but they cannot know what matters most to you.

There’s no doubt technology has changed weddings. From digital invitations to online RSVPs, couples now plan huge parts of their wedding day through apps and automated systems. And recently, some wedding DJs have started turning music planning into an app-based experience too — complete with swipe-style song selection systems, algorithms and “psychology-based” playlists. On paper, it sounds modern and convenient.
